The terms, in plain language
Last updated: September 2026
These terms cover every project between you (the client) and GoLive Dev, a trade name of TXT LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. Paying a deposit means you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to hide anything.
What you're buying
A fixed-scope build at a flat price: the pages or app features listed in your package and confirmed in writing at your kickoff call. That written scope is the project. Anything outside it is new work, quoted separately.
Payment
- 50% deposit starts the project. The remaining 50% is due before your site's DNS switch or your app's App Store submission.
- The deposit is fully refundable until your kickoff call. After the kickoff call, the build begins and the deposit covers work performed.
- Final files, code, and launch happen after final payment clears.
Revisions
Every package includes two full revision rounds. A revision round is one consolidated list of changes to the delivered work — not an ongoing stream. Additional rounds are billed at a quoted flat rate before work begins.
Your part, and timelines
Delivery windows (30 days for websites; 6–8 weeks for apps) count build days. If content, feedback, approvals, or account access you owe arrive late, the timeline pauses until they arrive — the deadline moves by the same number of days. If a project sits waiting on you for more than 30 consecutive days, it may be closed out and re-opening it quoted as new work.
Ownership
Once paid in full, you own the deliverables: the design, the code written for your project, your content, your domain, and your accounts. iOS apps are published under your own Apple Developer account, which you own and pay for ($99/yr to Apple). GoLive retains the right to display the work in its portfolio and to a small "Site by GoLive" credit in the footer, removable on request.
Stay Live (maintenance)
Stay Live is a $250/month subscription covering hosting management, software updates, and priority small edits (up to 2 hours of changes per month; unused time doesn't roll over). Cancel anytime, effective at the end of the billing month. Without Stay Live, post-launch changes are quoted per request.
Third-party services
Projects rely on third parties — hosting, domain registrars, Apple's App Store, payment processors. Their fees are yours, their decisions are theirs. App Store approval timelines and outcomes are controlled by Apple, not GoLive; builds are prepared to Apple's published guidelines.
What GoLive is not responsible for
GoLive's total liability on any project is capped at the amount you paid for that project. GoLive is not liable for lost profits, lost data caused by third-party services, or your business results. Deliverables are provided as described; no other warranties are implied.
Cancellation
You can cancel any time. You pay for work completed to that point (the deposit at minimum, once the build has started); you receive everything built so far.
